We are excited to inform you that ANANDA BALAGA has planned to organize the 3rd BADMINTON TOURNAMENT. The tournament is titled as ANANDA BALAGA BADMINTON LEAGE (ABL) This tournament is organized for the members of the Ananda Balaga and is scheduled to take place on 4th Dec 2022, Sunday at KGS Club, Cubbon Park, Opp MS Building, Dr. Ambedkar road, Bangalore – 560001

Members who are interested to participate in the tournament are here by invited to register their name on or before 15/11/2022. Registration fee can be paid at the venue on the event day.

Rules & Regulations

1. Registered players are required to have minimum knowledge about the basics of badminton.
2. This tournament is meant for members of AnandaBalaga. Only family members are permitted to participate in the event.
3.  We are playing this tournament in the state of the art wooden courts. Players are required to use only NO MARK SHOES while playing. Players with bare foot or marked shoes are strictly not allowed to participate.
4. The courts are offered for our use from morning 9.00 AM to evening 5.00 PM on rental basis. All players are required to assemble sharp at 8.30 AM. The registration process will close at sharp 9.00am. The tournament commenses sharp at 9 AM. Those who are not available during the team formation will not be considered to take part in the league matches.
5. Entry Fee: The organizers require money to meet the expenditures of court rent, purchase of shuttlecock, providing breakfast, lunch and snacks. Hence an entry fee of Rs.300/-has been fixed for each player. We hope all playing members will co-operate.
6. Tournament Format: It is decided to conduct matches for two category of members for men and open category for women.
   1. Mens category1 – For the age group of 15 years to 35 years.
   2. Mens category2 – For 35 years above.
7. Matches are played under Single elimination round system.
8. Trained referees will conduct the game and referees decision will be final.
9. If time permits we have a planned playing mixed doubles. Those who have played semi-finals and finals are eligible to participate here. This will be in both the categories.
10. Team Combination: Teams will be picked up on the spot inside the court. Teams will be formed through lucky dip basis. There will be two sets of identical numerical slips folded neatly and kept in a box. All playing members are required to pick one slip each and hand over to the organizers. Two players who get the same numbers will playing pair.
11. Dress code: Jersey/T shirts with shorts/track pants and no mark shoes.
12. Breakfast and lunch: Morning breakfast and lunch is organized for the convenience of members.
13. Members can bring soft drinks mineral water bottles and biscuits.
14. All playing and non-playing members are considered as volunteers for this tournament. The organizers hereby appeal to all members to make this tournament a memorable one.
15. Last but not the least is prize distribution ceremony. Our dignitaries will be present to honor the winners and runners up of all categories with cash prizes and trophies.
